Limited Edition Rosettes
Charlie Murphy's 'show' multiples employ the conventions of agricultural, political and sporting events to celebrate unrecognised artistic achievements and failures.
Her first 'Anthropomorphism & Husbandry' series explores suggestive and ambiguous words and phrases associated with country shows and competitions.
These sly 'accolades' offer playful and irreverent comments upon a variety of values and prized characteristics displayed in both human and animal behaviour and relations.
Each new series tackles the subtle resonances of everyday language and offers subversive interventions when worn in a variety of contexts, in addition to functioning as collectable 'decorations'.
A range of rosettes are available through Tate Modern's Artist Collectables series and each new series is developed in response to a variety of contexts and commissions.
